The Grip of Fear
Author Notes
Life seems to be littered with trauma small and large. The older I get the more I experience pain and loss of some sort. Some I deal with some I don't. The thing I've learned over time is that the ones I haven't dealt with tend to come back to haunt me. Not so much that I repeat the experience, but that I relive it in my mind.
This poem represents actively experiencing trauma in life while reliving those from the past. While it is painful in the moment, this too shall pass, and tomorrow the sun will rise.
